2005 Benziger Tribute......Inspired by a deep and enduring reverence for the land, Winemaker Mike Benziger and his team craft Tribute from Biodynamic® grapes nurtured on his family's Sonoma Mountain estate. Their goal is a wine made from classic Bordeaux varieties that reveals a profound sense of place and the passion of the winegrowing team. This wine is a tribute to this special property. Winemaker's notes: In 2005, Tribute’s diverse aromas include black berry, nutmeg, plum, black licorice, tar, dark chocolate and a sweet earthiness. The wine has a rich but finely textured, chalky entry. The tannins are soft and very polished. There is a wonderful, consistent and velvety grip throughout the entire experience. The finish is long with lingering soft tannins and acids that compliment each other. |
