2007 Frank Family Vineyards Cabernet Rutherford Reserve ( 95 Points RP)

Frank Family Vineyards’ 2007 Rutherford Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich dark purple color. The aromas are bountiful; leading with ripe blackberries, balsamic grilled figs, and dark chocolate ganache topped with candied almonds. Further richness emerges as savory notes of tea leaves and earthy mushrooms come forward with a hint of cracked pepper beef jerky throughout. The palate is massive yet refined; loaded with the flavors of juicy black cherry and warm blueberry crumble, which are nicely balanced by fresh brewed coffee, cinnamon and clove. Well structured tannins provide a soft inviting entry, silky texture, and outstanding depth that offer roundness from beginning to end, including the delightfully long finish.
