2008 Stonestreet Lower Rim Chardonnay ( 96 pts Robert Parker)

At 1,000 feet, the Lower Rim vineyard resides in a protective bowl rich with iron oxide that contributes to the deep red color of the soil in this block. The combination of the rich soils and PM clone (named for Peter Michael) produce wines that are weighty and fleshy with vivid fruit.
