2000 Richard Grant Wrotham Pinot Napa Sparkling Blanc de Noir - This 2000 vintage exhibits a fresh and lively nose reminiscent of pink grapefruit, Granny Smith apples and just a hint of cranberries. The sparkle is vibrant, yet refined, as millions of tiny bubbles call attention to the wine’s delicate pink color. The taste is elegant and crisp. The aftertaste lingers long enough to satisfy, but always leaves the palate refreshed. The Richard Grant 2000 vintage totaled 398 cases. The wine was made with exceptional care. For example, it was allowed to age on the lees, en tirage, for more than four years prior to disgorging. It is excellent now but is certain to last at least until 2010 in the cellar. |
